Who We Are
Launched in 2023 as part of the multimedia projects of Forum Voix Etouffées - CEMUT (European Center for the Study of Music and Totalitarism), Music Remembrance Radio is the first European web radio dedicated to the works and the memory of the silenced voices - composers who were persecuted, murdered and driven into exile during the XXth an XXIth centuries.
New and historic recordings, podcasts from musicologists, historians, composers, and the latest news about researches in this field... MMR is the shouting place about those who had to remain silent.
- Hundred of music tracks carefully selected for their musical quality and historical significance ;
- New podcasts every month with the best European researchers, broadcast every day at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on the radio and available outside these times on the dedicated page ;
- A virtual shop dedicated to the books and recordings of the silenced voices ;
- Different playlists in order to show all the aspects of this music…
In 2025, MRR became the first european webradio on these subjects, with more than 1.200 listeners per month from 34 different countries.
